Dr. Szigeti studied physics at Imperial College, after which he earned a PhD in computational neuroscience from the University of Edinburgh. He has worked as a biomedical software engineer at the Icahn Genomics Institute and he has conducted the largest placebo-controlled study on psychedelics to date. In his research, Dr. Szigeti uses novel statistical and experimental techniques to explore the intersection of psychedelics and placebo effects.

Dr. Katrin Preller has worked for the University of Zurich where she investigated the neurobiological long-term effects of cocaine, MDMA, and heroin use. She also investigated the use of psychedelics on self-perception and social cognition at the neuro-psychopharmacology and brain imaging lab. She was appointed as the junior group leader at the University of Zurich and holds a position as a visiting assistant professor at Yale University.
